FedEx provides domestic and international parcel delivery services across more than 220 countries and territories. FedEx services include Ground, Home Delivery, Express, International, Freight, and Ground Economy shipping options.
The Magento 2 FedEx Shipping Extension retrieves real-time FedEx shipping rates and displays them on the shopping cart, checkout, and Magento Admin order creation pages. Rates are calculated using the seller's warehouse address, customer destination address, product weight, package dimensions, packaging configuration, and selected FedEx services.
Configure the warehouse origin address in Magento Admin under Admin → Stores → Configuration → Sales → Shipping Settings. The extension then sends the shipment information to the FedEx REST API and returns available shipping methods and rates.
This extension includes features beyond the default Magento FedEx integration, including advanced packaging rules, product dimensions, residential address detection, shipping-rate markups, maximum package weight, multi-package shipping, admin-only rates, shipping labels, shipment tracking, and API response caching.
FedEx Address Validation API: Address validation and residential or commercial address classification may not be enabled automatically on every FedEx account. You may need to contact FedEx support or request access through your FedEx developer account.
Latest REST API Integration: This extension uses the FedEx REST API with OAuth 2.0 access-token authentication. Create an application in the FedEx Developer Portal to generate the Client ID and Client Secret required in Magento Admin.
The extension also supports separate configuration for the FedEx Track API, shipping-label generation, Ground Economy services, package types, delivery estimates, and custom packaging rules.
Magento includes a standard FedEx carrier integration, but many merchants require additional control over package calculations, product dimensions, residential shipping, rate adjustments, label generation, and warehouse workflows.

FedEx shipping rates may vary depending on whether the destination is classified as Residential or Commercial. The extension allows the Magento administrator to select a default address type or request address classification from the FedEx API.
Important: The FedEx Address Validation API may require separate approval or activation for your FedEx account.
The extension can be used to create FedEx shipment labels from Magento Admin. Shipment tracking information can also be requested using the FedEx Track API.
The extension can calculate FedEx shipping rates for common Magento product types, depending on the product weight and shipping configuration.
