The Magento 2 FedEx Freight Shipping Carrier module calculates FedEx freight shipping rates in real time by connecting to the FedEx API. Rates are displayed dynamically on both the cart and checkout pages, based on your warehouse location and the customer’s delivery address. To use Magento 2 FedEx Freight Shipping Carrier extension, you must have an active FedEx account with Freight API access. Admins can configure options such as residential or commercial address identification, custom markup pricing, and support for additional FedEx delivery services—all from the Magento admin panel.

Ensure that your shipping address in Admin → Stores → Configuration → Sales → Shipping Settings matches your FedEx account. The module automatically combines product items into packages based on product-level shipping classes before sending them to FedEx via the REST API.

Note: FedEx Address Validation API is not enabled by default. Contact FedEx support to enable it for your account.

Account & Pricing

To use this module, merchants must register at the official FedEx Developer Portal to obtain shipping API credentials. These credentials should be entered into the Magento 2 FedEx Freight Shipping Carrier module settings. FedEx LTL API calls are free; you only pay for the actual shipments created for your customers.
