We discovered an issue with the latest version of Magento and the plugin, and the support team responded within hours and already had a fix in place and new version ready for us to download. We bought EcomPlugins FedEx Rest API Extension. This is the only FedEx Rest API Extension supported in older version of Magento. EcomPlugins support team was so helpful and modified and provided us the extension to support our older PHP version. They were on top of our each request and provided quick solution for issues we faced due to older version of PHP, Magento. This extension supports shipping rates based on dimensions which Magento out of the box doesn't support.

In regards to their solution FedEx REST API for Magento 2 it has been an excellent replacement to the old SOAP based FedEx module packaged with M2. Many more features such as LxWxH attributes and packaging settings. We had some small issues initially and they were quick to resolve and assist. Highly recommended!!!
