Echo Global Logistics is a technology-enabled transportation and logistics provider offering access to freight shipping services from multiple carriers.
The Magento 2 Echo Global Logistics Shipping Extension connects your Magento 2 store with the EchoTrak REST API to retrieve available freight shipping rates. Calculated shipping options can be displayed to customers on the shopping cart and checkout pages.
Shipping rates are calculated using information such as the merchant's warehouse/origin address, customer destination address, shipment details, product shipping class, and enabled freight services.

This extension acts as the connection between Magento 2 and the EchoTrak REST API. It does not provide an Echo account or freight carrier account.
Merchants need an active EchoTrak account and valid API credentials from Echo Global Logistics before live shipping rates can be retrieved.
This Magento 2 plugin uses the EchoTrak REST API to request freight shipping rates.
One of the major advantages of using Echo Global Logistics is the ability to access freight rates from multiple supported carriers through a single integration. Depending on your Echo account and available services, rates may be returned from carriers such as R+L Carriers, Estes, and other LTL freight providers.
This means merchants do not necessarily need to build and maintain separate API integrations for every available freight carrier. The extension can request available rates through Echo and display the applicable shipping options directly in Magento 2.
Store administrators can configure whether customers see multiple available freight shipping methods or only the lowest-cost eligible shipping option.
LTL freight rates can vary significantly depending on the delivery location and services required. This extension provides configuration options that allow merchants to account for common freight delivery requirements such as residential delivery, commercial delivery, liftgate service, and delivery notification.
These settings help Magento merchants request more appropriate freight quotes and reduce differences between the shipping amount displayed during checkout and the actual freight shipping cost.
The extension allows merchants to configure freight shipping class information at the product level. This is especially useful for Magento stores selling heavy, oversized, industrial, commercial, or palletized products where freight classification can affect the returned LTL shipping rate.
